Introducing the “Michigan Solutions for All” Campaign

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) represent significant federal investments in climate and infrastructure. To ensure these benefits reach the communities that need them most, targeted efforts are essential.

Just Solutions is proud to partner with the Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition (MEJC) to co-lead the “Michigan Solutions for All” campaign, where we’ll support communities at the frontlines of the climate crisis working to maximize the impact of IRA/IIJA implementation programs and resources. Through education, strategic communications, and digital field-building, this partnership aims to ensure that these federal resources are not just equitably allocated, but that they lead to tangible, sustainable improvements in the health, economic security, and resilience of the most impacted communities.

“MEJC is committed to ensuring that the voices of BIPOC communities are at the forefront of climate justice efforts. This partnership with Just Solutions allows us to bring the benefits of the IRA/IIJA to the communities that have long been on the frontlines of the climate crisis.” – Juan Jhong Chung, Executive Director, Michigan Environmental Justice Coalition

The “Michigan Solutions for All” campaign will initially focus on three core cities—Detroit, Saginaw, and Flint—where the need for equitable climate solutions is particularly urgent. Our efforts will include developing educational toolkits tailored to these communities, facilitating access to available resources, and building local capacity to advocate for effective implementation of these programs.

“Just Solutions believes in the power of community-created and led solutions. Following MEJC’s leadership, together we can ensure communities and people have the tools and resources to not only survive but thrive in the face of climate change.” – Brandon Dawson, Director of State Initiatives, Just Solutions

Together, we are working towards an equitable and just future for all, turning the promise of federal climate investments into tangible, sustainable improvements for Michigan’s frontline communities.
