Joseph Santos-Lyons

Joseph Santos-Lyons (he/they) is a community minister and organizer with 30 years of experience in the Western States. He is energized by creating places for communities of color to self-determine and build the world we dream of. Currently, Joseph works with DRUUMM, a People of Color ministry, and is a campaigner with Black, Indigenous and People of Color groups and electeds. Previously he served with APANO, Oregon’s oldest and largest Asian Pacific Islander advocacy group, First Unitarian Church of Portland, and OPAL Environmental Justice. Joseph was born in North Portland, where he fought freeway expansion, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon and graduate school at Harvard University.
