Solveig Lee (she/her), Policy Research Intern, is working with Just Solutions for the summer. She is based in Edinburgh where she studies Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh. Her interest in policy stems from working in a grassroots student organization in Minnesota advocating for equitable education and studying historical healthcare inequalities through her research project in the International Baccalaureate program. She continues to explore sociological perspectives on social justice, welfare structures, and the environment in her degree, and believes people-driven policy is essential in creating equitable and functional societies. In her free time she enjoys climbing and hiking in the Scottish mountains, reading, and painting.
