Senior Advisor: Organizational Growth and Effectiveness at E-Tan Consulting

Elizabeth Tan (she/her) has worked for more than twenty-five years to build and strengthen
equity-driven organizations, partnerships, and campaigns. As Senior Advisor on Organizational
Strategy, Growth, and Resiliency at Just Solutions, she supports the Executive Director, staff,
and key partners to advance mission priorities and secure resources to deepen and sustain the
organization’s leadership role and impact within the broader climate justice movement. In
2011, she launched her independent consulting firm, E-Tan Consulting, to advise values-driven
leaders in the non-profit, philanthropic, public, and private sectors during all phases of
organizational design, growth and change management. She bases her practice on the hands-
on experiences gained from serving nine years as Senior Director of Planning & Development at
Urban Habitat and over three years as the Director of the Environmental Justice Department at
the San Francisco League of Urban Gardeners. She also has staff experience in the philanthropic
sector as the Environment Fellow at The San Francisco Foundation and Program Officer at the
French American Charitable Trust and currently consults with philanthropic leaders who are
committed to building accountable and equitable grantmaking practices in support of their
grantees and the communities they serve. Elizabeth lives in Oakland, CA.
