Idalmis Vaquero (she/her) is a Senior Policy Analyst located in Los Angeles. Her interest in policy and law stems from her personal experience growing up in Boyle Heights, a community contaminated with high levels of lead as a result of decades of pollution from a former car battery processing facility. This experience led her to youth organizing work at Communities for a Better Environment in 2014, which also solidified her commitment to go to law school to work alongside her community and other frontline communities in the fight for environmental and climate justice. Prior to joining Just Solutions, Idalmis was an Equal Justice Works Fellow/ attorney with Communities for a Better Environment working on toxics, brownfields, and air quality policy and rulemaking. Idalmis received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and B.A. from Wellesley College.
